Join our dynamic Team at DHL Global Forwarding! We are looking for a Business Development Manager, within the Ocean Freight Order Management Solutions Department. This role can be positioned within our Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane Office.

Key Responsibilities:
- To deliver strategic business development initiatives aligned with global Ocean Freight and OMS strategies, collaborating with country, regional, and global sales channels to maximize synergies and cohesive efforts.
- To proactively pursue new business opportunities and innovative ideas alongside the Head of Business Development, OMS, managing and growing the sales pipeline, securing new customers and expanding business with existing ones to increase revenue and profitability.
- To undertake market studies and feasibility studies to assess market potential and analyze target groups, prospecting new business development opportunities through market research, developing marketing initiatives, etc.
- To coordinate sales efforts with inside sales and provide flow of data on account competitors and suppliers to product management.
- To identify prospective customer needs and matches these with our OMS services, developing leads, conducting pre-proposal visitations, preparing difficult proposals and conducting negotiations to close business.
- To maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective customers, providing reports and updates on progress as required in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Accountabilities:
- To drive revenue and volume growth while also identifying new market segments with growth potential.
To develop and implement a robust sales and marketing strategy that will enhance our competitive positions across the OMS vertical.
To ensure timely responses to customer requests for information, proposals and requests from key stakeholders.
To develop strong and long term relationships with key customers.
