Job Summary and Qualifications
The Emergency Program Coordination manages the administration of the Emergency Preparedness policies, procedures and program. The Emergency Preparedness coordinator carries out responsibilities in some of the following functional areas: (1) Planning and executing training exercises for the hospital; (2) Representing OPRMC at various emergency preparedness meeting on local, regional and state levels; (3) Oversees utilization of grants and special funding.
What you will do in this role:
- Provides overall support to the hospital’s preparedness efforts.
- Planning and executing training and exercises.
- Writing After Action Report (AAR).
- Represents the hospital at various emergency preparedness meetings at the local, regional and state levels.
- Fulfills responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of HCA and MidAmerica division.
- Oversees implementation of NIMS compliance and tracks educational requirements.
- Coordinates and oversees utilization of grants and special funding.
- Supports the facility’s Standards of Performance and ICARE values
What qualifications you will need:
- Minimum of 2 years in an Emergency Preparedness or Security related field. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Advanced training for National Incident Management System (NIMS), National Disaster Medical System (NDMS), Hospital Incident Command Center (HICS), Hospital Emergency Response Training (HERT) for Mass Casualty Incidents (MCI) and Chemical/Biological/Radiological/Nuclear Explosives (CBRNE) preferred.
- Detail oriented
- Technical skills: Teaching skills, written, verbal and facilitation skills, computer skills, internet/research skills, data analysis and statistical skills.
