Job Summary and Qualifications
As an Endoscopy Registered Nurse Manager, you will contribute to the company’s mission and vision by utilizing the nursing process in planning, executing and evaluating the nursing care rendered postoperatively until patient is dismissed from the facility. You are responsible for coordinating environmental control, area staff, assistance to physicians, materials, equipment and education of personnel. You will analyze and evaluate nursing services to improve quality of care provided.
What you will do in this role:
You will coordinate nursing care in the designated clinical unit/department
Ensure sufficient staff for your endoscopy unit on a daily bases
You will notify staff of scheduling changes in a timely manner
You will coordinate and delegate tasks to individuals according to the activities required and staff competencies
You will assist with managing labor cost by coordinating adequate staffing patterns according to the utilization of the area and keeping an open line of communication with Clinical Director and/or administrator
You will be assessable to staff your clinical area and assist with clinical needs to include: providing breaks, ensure coverage for meal breaks, late cases, and staffing shortages
Qualifications for this role:
Nursing Diploma
Minimum 2 years of experience in a gastroenterology procedure setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
Two years of supervisor experience
RN license required or appropriate compact licensure
Required valid BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptable
ACLS, PALS and/or other as required for patient care area and by facility
