About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with a strong focus on Family Law to join our growing firm. This is a high-stakes, client-facing role that requires a "Guardian of Urgency" mindset. You will be stepping into a fast-paced environment where you will immediately manage a caseload of litigation & family law matters.
The ideal candidate will be licensed in both Kentucky and Ohio to support our regional representation.

What You’ll Do
- Litigate with Excellence: Represent clients in Family Law (divorce, custody, support) and general civil litigation matters.
- Manage Case Life Cycles: Drive cases toward resolution within 12 months, ensuring all scheduling orders are strictly followed.
- Proactive Client Communication: Conduct personal phone calls and digital follow-up to every client on your list to ensure they are informed, supported, and cared for.
- Draft & Negotiate: Proactively prepare clean, polished, and thoughtful drafts (pleadings, discovery, correspondence).
- Strategic Growth: Work with our Executive Assistant (EA) and Case Managers to identify risks early and optimize case values.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of litigation experience, specifically in Family Law.
- Licensure: JD from an accredited school; currently licensed in Kentucky (required) and Ohio (highly preferred or willing to waive in).
- Soft Skills: Proven ability to build trust and de-escalate frustrated clients.
- Urgency: A "Code Red" mindset regarding deadlines and time entry.
