Bid it. Win it. Build it.
We are a growing, and well-regarded regional demolition contractor, and we’re looking for a Project Manager & Estimator to own demolition projects end-to-end — from the bid through closeout. On the front end you’ll evaluate plans and sites, quantify costs, and produce competitive, profitable proposals. Once the work is won, you’ll plan, budget, schedule, and drive each job to a safe, on-time, on-budget finish.
You’ll be the single point of accountability from estimate to final billing, working closely with both office and field teams. If you can price demolition work accurately and run it well, we want to talk to you.
What You’ll Do
• Prepare accurate, competitive demolition estimates and proposals — takeoffs and pricing of labor, equipment, disposal, subcontractors, and scrap/salvage credits
• Conduct site assessments and pre-bid walkthroughs; identify scope, risks, and exclusions
• Own end-to-end delivery of won projects — safety, schedule, budget, and quality
• Convert each estimate into a detailed execution plan, schedule, and budget at handoff
• Manage job costs against estimate; control margin, billings, and change orders, and report variances
• Coordinate crews, equipment, subcontractors, materials, and disposal/recycling with field leadership
• Serve as the primary contact for customers and general contractors from bid through closeout
• Maintain estimating records and historical cost data that improve future bids
What You Bring
• 3+ years in demolition or construction combining estimating and project management (scheduling, budgets, job costing)
• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant estimating and project experience (degree or coursework in construction management or engineering a plus)
• Valid driver’s license (required)
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and scopes of work and perform quantity takeoffs
• Proficiency with estimating and scheduling/PM software, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of demolition means and methods, safety, permitting, and regulatory requirements
• Preferred: demolition-specific experience, familiarity with abatement and hazmat scopes, OSHA 30, PMP or construction-management certification, First Aid/CPR
The Work Environment
This role splits between the office and active or prospective jobsites, with exposure to dust, debris, noise, heights, and heavy equipment. You’ll travel regularly to project sites, pre-bid meetings, and client meetings throughout the Louisville, KY metro area and surrounding region — company vehicle provided. Expect deadline-driven hours around bid due dates and project milestones, including occasional early starts and weekends. You’ll walk uneven sites, climb and bend, wear required PPE, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
What We Offer
• Salary + performance bonus tied to defined company business objectives
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
• Paid holidays
• Company vehicle and fuel card
• Professional development and advancement opportunities
